Once a prized fighter, Genji turned to the other side of the ropes as a coach. Kamogawa Genji is the trainer to Makunouchi Ippo and Takamura Mamoru. He tends to those fighters almost exclusively as they’re the gyms most prized fighters. Do not let this old man fool you, he’s strong and still can throw punches like a younger person (as demonstrated when he fought his old time friend Nekota Ginpachi). His training methods a  bit extreme and weird at first but will lead a boxer to success.
