Kimura Tatsuya is one of the main characters in the anime Hajime No Ippo and the series New Challenger. Kimura is an out boxer that has a good sense of boxing and carefully studies an opponent.

Tatsuya is best friends with another one of the boxers at the Kamogawa Boxing Gym, Aoiki Masaru. Both of them joined the gym in hopes of one day kicking Takamura Mamoru’s ass for beating them up.  Kimura is also one of the nicer guys in the series when it comes to helping people. He’s quick to get into the ring to help Makunouchi Ippo train or go to another gym to help their fighter prepare for an upcoming match.
